ECOLOGICAL PROFESSIONAL CLEANING:

Unfortunately many industries  they do not follow good practices to minimize environmental damage.  Antique dry cleaning is no exception. Some of the old dry cleaning aspects is Naphthalene washing, such as the use of toxic air pollutants, and lax regulatory practices are to blame. But the times are changing.

Industry leaders have  recognized the impact that our practices have on the environment and we have altered them to improve the environment. If you want to keep your clothes clean, there are safer and greener alternatives today. The only responsibility that you  has as a consumer is to make the right decision.

AN ECOLOGICAL ALTERNATIVE: GREENEARTH®:

GreenEarth® is the brand name for a dry cleaning solution that is essentially a pure liquid silicone (liquefied sand), considered neither  toxic, nor dangerous. Scientifically known as decamethylpentacyclosiloxane, or D5, this liquid silicone is safe for the environment and for your health.  Since it simply breaks down into sand (SiO2), water, and carbon dioxide, it leaves no toxic residue if released into the atmosphere, making it safe for air, water, and soil. Plus, it's so safe that it's a common ingredient in many skincare products, including shampoo and soap.

And it's not just eco-friendly - GreenEarth® is even considered a better fabric cleaner. Because liquid silicone is chemically inert, it does not interact with fabric or textile dyes during the cleaning process, unlike typical dry cleaning solvents. This feature helps eliminate problems associated with fabric wear or color fading, shrinkage, and is much softer but just as effective (or even more!). Also, there is no lingering "dry cleaning" odor left on your garments, as liquid silicone is odorless. It is the perfect dry cleaning solution for processing delicate fabrics such as silk, leather and suede.  As well as for delicate embellishments made up of beads, appliqués, sequins and special buttons. Fragile items, particularly heirloom fabrics, respond excellently to GreenEarth®.

RECYCLING PROGRAM AND BIODEGRADABLE PRODUCTS:

At SWIFT cleaners how we are a dry cleaner  environmentally responsible we recycle and use biodegradable chemicals, detergents, shampoo and solvents.

Dry cleaning solvents:

We use distillation, filtration and drying in solvents to clean them and prepare them for reuse. All impurities are removed to ensure the next round of garments is washed with  the same completely pure solvents,  clean and disinfected. The garments at the time of drying emit vapors that are  solvents, these are recaptured in gaseous form, condensed, disinfected and cleaned for reuse  again in liquid form.

Unclaimed Garments:

Any garment or item that has not been claimed by its owner after 1  year  it goes to charities. And it's not just about a shirt - we're talking about hundreds of unclaimed garments annually, all donated to programs. The  Unclaimed clothing, coats, duvets, and blankets make a valuable difference for those in need. SWIFT cleaners  It also works as a collection center for the collection of clothes, we clean and repair it for free so that it can be donated to the less fortunate.

Hooks:

Hooks in good condition can be recycled. Simply bring the hooks you don't need, we will gladly use them again.

Packaging, such as polyethylene bags:

We have  programs available for people who want to recycle polythene bags. Customers can also contribute to the cause by removing all staples and labels attached to the bags and simply hand the bags over to the counter clerk.
